The Song of the Fae by E.H. Jahr – 5 STARS
I absolutely adored this story. A woman's past has been erased, only she has no idea to what extent her identity has been altered--nor does the reader.
It was a slow, delicious reveal that focused on learning vs knowing who you are and self empowerment: the power of choice.
I loved the underlying love story. I adored the strength, mindset, and growth of the ingenue, Kiera, who had an internal battle of figuring out who to trust and who not to--and it's not what you expect. I enjoyed the different character interactions as you questioned who had her best interest at heart and who had everything to lose from her reclaiming her power. You rooted for Kiera and for the kingdom she needed to save.
So many great feels and brilliant writing. Fantastic read.
