Book of the Week: Radical Self-Love

Radical Self-Love by Gala Darling

This isn’t my first go-round with this book, and every time I read it, I am inspired to take self-love to the next level. I love the author’s no-holds-barred wit and delightfully eccentric approach to finding and loving our authentic selves.

We are all born unique, and it is when we take the time to embrace that uniqueness that we connect most profoundly to ourselves and our purpose.

From getting to the bottom of what you want (it’s not always what you think!) and nurturing your friends and lovers, to manifesting miracles and dressing fabulously, this book is all about owning who you are, and not being afraid to express yourself. There are so many juicy tidbits to take away, such as spiritual practices to try to connect to your inner self better, task ideas such as making vision boards and goal lists to identify what’s important, and suggestions on how you can kick up your individuality a notch.

But it’s not just a “you should do this” type of book; it has homework prompts that encourage you to take real action after each chapter…after all, if you are taking the time to read a book about it, why wouldn’t you actually try to radically love yourself? Lots of reflection opportunities to dive into who you really are and what you really want.

I took away a lot of new techniques that I can bring into my own self-love practice, and it has already helped me to open up to new experiences and feel wonderful in my own skin.

Refreshing, fun, and deeply insightful…this book is for anyone looking to take their inner life to a deeper level and embrace self-acceptance.
