Whispers: An Original Poem

Not every mode of communication needs to be loud to be heard. It's sometimes soft, felt, or read between lines. I was inspired to write a nod to this dreamy way of speaking, inviting romance into the air and acknowledging that intensity is not always visible. Whispers that speak so gently that only the heart hears the call.
You whisper to me gently and I feel the words
But can you hear the whispers of my heart?
Soft silky siren calls beckoning for your love
Your touch as gentle as my delicate exhale
Softness. Sweetness. Surrender.
There's a yearning for this intimate tenderness triggered by a plush sweater
Engulfing me into hidden playfulness
This is the side that hears the whispers and responds
Awakening like children and hiding like teenagers
We play the sweetest game of life
Giggling. Sharing secrets. Stealing soft kisses.
And all I had to do was whisper your name to the angels
And you appeared
