A Love Letter to a Jedi Warrior

I've spent a lifetime looking for a prince charming. Turns out, the love I was looking for was more of the Jedi warrior kind. And I wouldn't want it any other way. Brought together "coincidentally" on the night of "May the 4th," the force is strong with this man, and together we represent the best of the light and the dark. Enjoy a poem from the depths of my heart.

Two lone lightsabers finally cross in the night

One, a vibrant jedi warrior true of heart but misunderstood

The other, the lost princess with a fire others insist on putting out

But together, in the light and the dark, they can simply be fire and heart

Burning light while savoring the darkness

Bringing the balance that the force truly seeks

She looks at him knowingly

Beastly loyalty with warmth of a wookie

A fierce iron Mandalorian protector

With wisdom of an ancient icon

A rogue spirit like Solo

Intention pure as Skywalker

And a heart bigger than the galaxy itself

All with the sexiness of a Sith

Like the mask of Vader you breathe life into me

But with the innocent adoration of young Anakin

I will lose my hand to hold yours any day

The force is strong within and between us

Awakening more in every moment

Deny it, we cannot

Burn slow, we must

“Patience you must have, my young Padawans”

We hear that call but also that of the dark side

Both is possible

Succumbing to the light and the dark

There is no good and evil in love

And yet another lesson:

“Do or do not.”

We do.

“Rebellions are built on hope”

Today’s love has decayed and been defiled

We’ll fight to bring it back to its greatness

We’ll show the world what it could be

“You can’t stop change more than you can stop the suns from setting”

“That’s how we’re gonna win. Not fighting what we hate, saving what we love”

I believe in you, gentle warrior

I believe in us

And the power of two forces coming together

Two light sabers that cross with the intention of igniting the galaxy

This is the way.
